RGU Ventures Investment Fund

The RGU Ventures Investment Fund is the first dedicated venture fund for investment in intellectual property developed by Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. It launched with committed funds at First Closing of up to £1.1 million.

Frontier IP and Robert Gordon University are investors in the fund and the RGU Ventures Investment Fund also has partnership status with Scottish Enterprise's Scottish Co-investment Fund, potentially doubling the total funds available to £2.2m.

The RGU Ventures Investment Fund primarily invests in Robert Gordon University spinout companies seeking early stage capital. The fund will consider any sector where there is a clear and defensible intellectual property base, with a typical investment round range of between £50,000 and £500,000.

The RGU Ventures Investment Fund is managed by Sigma Technology Management Limited, the FSA authorised and regulated subsidiary of Sigma Capital Group plc.
