University of Dundee Venture Fund

The University of Dundee Venture Fund is the first dedicated venture fund for investment in intellectual property developed by University of Dundee. It launched with committed funds at First Closing of up to £0.75 million.

Frontier IP and University of Dundee are investors in the University of Dundee Venture Fund and the fund also has partnership status with Scottish Enterprise's Scottish Co-investment Fund, potentially doubling the total funds available to £1.5m.

The University of Dundee Venture Fund primarily invests in University of Dundee spinout companies seeking early stage capital. The fund will consider any sector where there is a clear and defensible intellectual property base, with a typical investment round range of between £50,000 and £500,000.

The University of Dundee Venture Fund is managed by Sigma Technology Management Limited, the FSA authorised and regulated subsidiary of Sigma Capital Group plc.
