The University of Dundee is one of the UK's leading universities, internationally recognised for its expertise across a range of disciplines including life and biomedical science, computing and engineering. The University currently has over 17,000 students and more than 3000 staff.
Frontier IP has a 10-year commercialisation partnership with the University of Dundee and works with the university's Research and Innovation Services department to support its company formation and spinout activity across all Colleges at the University.
In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, 54% of the University's research achieved 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent' standards. The university has particular areas of strength. The College of Life Sciences, for example, was ranked ahead of all other universities in Scotland and is one of the UK's top 5 universities in the category of Biological Sciences, ahead of Cambridge and Imperial College.
