Pulsiv appoints Delta Matrix as exclusive manufacturing partner

Frontier IP portfolio company Pulsiv Limited (“Pulsiv” or the “Company”) has signed an exclusive manufacturing and wholesaling agreement with specialist electronics business Delta Matrix Limited (“Delta Matrix” or the “Manufacturer”). 

The agreement means that for the first time customers will be able to buy tangible products based on Pulsiv’s groundbreaking, energy efficient OSMIUM AC to DC power conversion technology. Delta Matrix, which is part of the Easby Group, will manufacture USB output modules, which can be used wherever conventional USB sockets and devices are used today. Potential applications for the modules include for use in power chargers and the near-ubiquitous sockets are now being incorporated into buildings, furniture, trains, planes and vehicles.  

Under the terms of the agreement, another part of Easby Group, Easby Electronics, will also proactively market, sell and distribute the modules. Pulsiv retains the right to license the technology to other companies but will also market the Delta Matrix made products to potential customers.

Pulsiv’s OSMIUM technology is significantly more energy efficient than conventional power conversion technologies, wasting much less energy as heat. This means it can be used in areas where thermal performance is crucial. It uses fewer components and is therefore more reliable and can be designed into smaller spaces.

More than two billion wall sockets are sold globally every year, with USB-enabled products expected to account for 600 million a year of future installations. Demand is expected to grow sharply as new UK and EU regulations are introduced, including updated Ecodesign requirements, Common Charger regulations and new efficiency standards. 

Delta Matrix is one of the UK’s leading specialists in making and supplying electronic components. The two companies have worked closely to design, develop and validate the technology and to ensure supply chains are resilient to meet the expected demand.

Frontier IP holds a 17.3 per cent equity stake in the Company.
